The short version

Voyager is a free geography game. Play fair, be decent to the people in your groups, and don't abuse the service. By using Voyager you agree to these terms.

The service

Voyager lets you learn countries, flags, capitals and outlines, solo or in groups with friends. It is free, has no ads, and requires no account to play. We work to keep it available and accurate, but we provide it as is, without warranties of any kind, and we may change or discontinue features at any time.

Your account

Creating an account (through our sign-in provider, Clerk) lets you sync progress across devices and join groups. You are responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You can delete your account at any time from the profile screen, which permanently removes your synced data.

Groups and your content

Group names, emoji, challenge titles and your display name are visible to other members of your groups. Keep them free of anything unlawful, hateful or harassing. We may remove content or suspend accounts that abuse the service or other players.

Fair play

Leaderboards are only fun when scores are real. Don't use bots, scripts or other automation to play rounds or submit scores.

Privacy

What we store and why is described in our privacy policy. The short version: guest play stays in your browser, accounts sync progress and a display name, analytics are cookieless and aggregate, and we never sell your data.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Voyager and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Geography is occasionally contested; flags, names and borders in the game are presented for learning, not as political statements.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Voyager after a change means you accept the new terms.
